Explore the tidal creeks, salt marsh, and oak hammocks of Long Creek Nature Preserve during peak fall migration. Situated along the Intracoastal Waterway, this sanctuary provides vital shelter and forage for southbound warblers, vireos, and wading birds. We will scout the shaded trails and boardwalks for migrating songbirds, kingfishers, and coastal raptors. Free and open to birders of all experience levels.
What to Bring: Binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, water, and bug spray.
Terrain: Easy, flat unpaved paths and wooden boardwalks.
